Background and Credentials
Dr. Samir Ali Ahmad earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and his Master of Public Health (MPH) from Boston University School of Public Health. Growing up in Massachusetts, Dr. Samir developed a passion for dentistry and the broader role that oral health plays in the health and well-being of individuals and communities.
His clinical and academic interests lie at the intersection of dentistry and public health, with a particular focus on prevention, access to care, and community health. He believes that improving oral health requires not only treating dental disease, but also helping patients understand their health and feel empowered to take an active role in their care.
Throughout his life, Dr. Samir has been involved in dental and medical volunteer experiences, including global medical trips and local organizations providing care to underserved communities. These experiences have strengthened his commitment to making comprehensive dental care more accessible and have shaped the way he approaches each patient.
Dr. Samir has a particular interest in comprehensive treatment planning and enjoys working through complex cases to develop thoughtful, individualized treatment plans. His clinical experience includes restorative, prosthodontic, and endodontic dentistry. He believes that excellent dentistry combines thorough clinical care with compassion, communication, and a long-term view of a patient's oral health.
Patient education is an especially important part of his approach. Dr. Samir believes that patients should never feel overwhelmed by dental terminology or unsure about their options.
